Lawn 1, Ken 0
It has been awhile since I have been able to hit up a coffee shop and do some updating with headphones in, so I’m savoring the opportunity to do so now! All thanks to a temporary change in hours working 10:30 to 7 Monday to Friday I think it will make me more productive.
Yay coffee shops!
So this weekend was all fun, productive, and frustrating all at the same time. Bad news first…I learned some of the bad things that come with growing a lawn: bugs. Those frickin grass flies like thousands of them. And those sneeky basterds are just small enough to make it inside the little squares of the screen and then into the house from whatever crack they find. Enter weed whacker and bug spray. I went ape shit on them and seemed to have destroyed most of the army. The battle is far from over, they will come back and I will be ready. Next plan of defense is spraying the lawn with the bug killer grass seed stuff. Bring it.
Fun! Katie and I went to the musical instruments museum by Desert Ridge and then had Islands. The museum was cool but was very “museum-y” meaning it didn’t focus on musical stuff we were intested in but if you like stuff from 3rd world countries and different ways of making essentially the same instrument. I was def looking for more modern artist stuff. Islands is always great…was a small taste of our vacation to San Diego come June. We booked almost a full weeks worth of vacation there…more to come on that.
Fingers crossed for a new job that came up…hopefully will hear something on it soon but no expectations really. Ok time for work now.
PEACE!
